Galerie Bacqueville is delighted to be hosting a group show curated by Doriane Spiteri, independent curator and art critic, and winner of the 2022 AICA-France "Point de vue" editorial programme and Réseau documents d'artistes. "Les Strates" brings together works by David De Beyter, Julie C. Fortier and Pascal Jounier Trémelo.
The works presented in this exhibition explore geological and memory strata, inviting us to experience the landscape through our own bodies.
Olfactory installations, sculptures, drawings and photographs awaken memories of another time. Intimate, corporeal space, textures and smells combine with landscapes and architecture to reveal a superimposition of sedimentary images. The works give rise to new perceptions and reflect a way of looking at the world that incorporates an awareness of the living and an unfolding of time.
